Services

Do you ever feel that most of your life is spent in your own head?  Our work helps you to be able to drop down into your body to include your whole body in your healing journey.

Often we store past experiences, memories, and traumatic events in our bodies and our heads take charge and forget to take care of the body.  With Clara’s help, you can better understand what is going on in the body and discharge the trauma that is held there.

Her work integrates the following modalities to support your healing; please click each one to learn more about how they can assist you.

Somatic Experiencing

Somatic Experiencing (SE) is a body-based therapeutic approach designed to help individuals heal from trauma by focusing on physical sensations rather than on the retelling of events. SE supports the nervous system in gently releasing stored trauma through increased awareness of the body’s signals. By tracking sensations, individuals learn to regulate arousal and distress and to restore a sense of safety and calm. This process builds resilience, reduces trauma symptoms, and improves overall nervous system regulation.

Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy

Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) is an evidence-based approach that integrates mindfulness practices with cognitive behavioral strategies. It teaches individuals to observe their thoughts, emotions, and bodily sensations in the present moment with curiosity and without judgment. By changing one’s relationship to thoughts rather than trying to control them, MBCT helps reduce patterns of rumination, emotional reactivity, and negative thinking. This approach is often used to prevent depressive relapse and to support greater emotional balance, resilience, and overall mental well-being.

Reparenting

Reparenting one’s inner child is a therapeutic process that involves offering oneself the care, validation, and protection that may have been missing earlier in life. By responding to emotional triggers with compassion and consistency, individuals can heal unmet developmental needs and build a stronger sense of safety and self-trust. This practice helps reduce patterns of self-criticism, emotional reactivity, and relationship difficulties rooted in early experiences.

Internal Family Systems

Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy is a compassionate, evidence-based approach that views the mind as made up of different “parts,” each with its own perspective and role. It helps individuals understand and heal wounded parts while gently working with protective parts that may contribute to distress. By accessing the calm, curious, and compassionate true Self, IFS supports greater self-understanding, emotional regulation, and a more grounded relationship with one’s inner experience.

“I had a lot of trepidation and anxiety going into a session using a therapeutic modality that I was not familiar with. Clara helped me feel at ease and comfortable in sharing my thoughts and feelings. She was very perceptive on picking up physical cues that I wasn’t even aware of that were related to my emotions.”
